For over 30 years, my dream has been to run a quilting retreat—and I’m so grateful it’s happening! Helping others discover or renew their love of the craft fills my heart with joy. In high school, I discovered my love for sewing—it just clicked. From there, I earned a degree in Home Economics with an Art minor. Now in my free time, I fit in as much sewing and quilting as possible.

 

My professional life mainly consisted of working in the field of interior design. But I have also always had an interest in historic buildings and served as a visitor assistant at two museums residing in historic houses—Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum and Charles Allis Art Museum, both in Milwaukee.

The Stitch & Stillness Retreat gave me the opportunity to slow down and be truly intentional with myself and my needs. I was able to step away from the hustle of everyday life and pour into myself. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to reconnect with their mind and body while building community with like-minded fiber artists.

The creative space, support, and community provided was a refreshing break from the "real world". The meditation and journaling reminded me to face my everyday tasks that followed with mindfulness and gratitude. Can't wait to return for another lovely weekend with these lovely hosts!
